Sculpture route Almere Haven
Discover Almere Haven in a different way with this sculpture route along art in public spaces. During this walk of about 16 kilometres, you will pass special sculptures, monuments and works of art that tell the story of the city and its inhabitants. From colourful sculptures and murals to art in nature, each work provides its own perspective on Almere Haven and its history.
The route starts at the Markt and takes you past the centre of Haven, residential areas, dykes and green areas such as het Cirkelbos. Along the way, you will meet artworks by well-known artists such as Jan Snoeck, Armando, Siemen Bolhuis and Frea Lenger. Some works refer to the origins of Almere and life on the former seabed, while others tell personal stories or reflect on themes such as living together, diversity and memory.
Some artworks invite you to marvel, others to reflect or enjoy a moment of peace in the middle of the city and nature.
