Heritage marker: The Tree Boat
The artist was inspired by the frames of old boats that used to be made of oak. Visser planted 22 young summer oaks in the ground along the contours of a ship's hull. He connected the oaks with ropes and slats to resemble an upside-down hull of a ship.
