Animal spotting from the Nature Experience Centre
Get some fresh air and take a nice walk through the Oostvaardersplassen nature reserve. Start at the Natuurbelevingcentrum de Oostvaarders. On the top floor, you will find a beautiful viewpoint with binoculars, with which you can spot the animals in the area. Entry to the area is free. If you wish, you can finish the walk with lunch or coffee and a snack at Paviljoen de Oostvaarders on the ground floor.

Stadslandgoed de Kemphaan
Discover Stadslandgoed de Kemphaan: a city estate in the middle of the woods of Almere. There is plenty to experience here with free admission. For example, take a look at the Stichting AAP, the city farm and the goats and sheep in the schaapskooi. Children can have an adventure in the Labyrinth and enjoy the many playgrounds. In fine weather, the Kemphaan is also a lovely place for a picnic.
Do you have a little more budget available? At animal park Almere Jungle you can go on an adventure in a real jungle and see animals and plants from all over the world. At climbing park Fun Forest, you float high through the trees as you clamber through the course.

The New Library
Right in the centre of Almere stands De Nieuwe Bibliotheek. Of course you can come here for book rentals and cultural activities, but the special building is more than worth a visit. Check out the building's unusual architecture, discover its many special corners and enjoy a good book. The New Library is open seven days a week.

Children's activities City & Nature
City & Nature aims to let Almere residents experience nature in the city. They therefore organise regular activities for children. To participate, they charge a small fee. Examples include a beaver scavenger hunt, a kite-making workshop or a fun afternoon in the Klokhuis. Keep an eye on the agenda for fun activities.
