In the middle of the Almeerse bossen you will find Stadslandgoed de Kemphaan. There is plenty to do in this nature reserve. Discover the city farm, go climbing at Fun Forest or visit Dierenpark Almere Jungle. Read on for more fun activities on the Kemphaan.

Klimpark Fun Forest

Climb a tree, float along the branches on a zipline and walk across a metre-high bridge. At climbing park Fun Forest, you will find various courses for young and old: adults can climb here, too.

Stichting AAP

Go monkey watching together at the Stichting AAP. This is where monkeys and other exotic animals from all over the world are taken in and cared for. The foundation is not freely accessible, but the monkeys can be clearly seen from a number of places. During most of the year, they regularly offer free guided tours. Grand Café De Waterburght

At Grand Café De Waterburght, you can enjoy sitting on the terrace by the water or cosy inside. Ideal for a stopover on Stadslandgoed de Kemphaan. Whether for lunch, drinks or dinner.

Stadsboerderij Almere

Take a look behind the scenes at the Stadsboerderij and learn about organic farming and the work on a livestock farm.

City & Nature

The City & Nature Foundation's mission is to let young and old experience nature in and around Almere, including on the Kemphaan. Here you can watch goats happily chattering and sheep bleating in the schaapskooi . A little further on, the grunting comes your way: in the pig pen you will find the Husumer pigs. Restaurant Buitengewoon Lekker

After a walk around the city estate, it is time for a well-earned break. Enjoy a cup of coffee or a tasty lunch at Restaurant Buitengewoon Lekker. Take a break in front of the fireplace in winter or on the large terrace in fine weather. From here you have a view of the Zuiderzee Play Wood.

Almere Jungle

Take a journey through all the continents at Almere Jungle and meet all kinds of exotic animals and plants. One of the animal keepers can tell you all about it! And if you dare, you can even hold some of the animals. A great outing for the whole family.

Buitencentrum Almeerderhout

Buitencentrum Almeerderhout is the starting point for your day outdoors! Here you will find more information and routes for a lovely walk through the woods around Stadslandgoed de Kemphaan. It is also the starting point of many excursions and treasure hunts, such as the Kabouterpad or Beaver excursions. You can also play a game of Discgolf here. Want to know more? Be sure to drop in.

Cycling and walking routes

Taking a walk on Stadslandgoed de Kemphaan is always a good idea. You can also explore the estate's surroundings on a bicycle. For example, cycle the Almeerse Natuurroute and make an extended stop on the Kemphaan.

Mountain bike route

For enthusiasts, there is even a mountain bike route. The route is fully paved so you can cycle here all year round. Handy: an official trail centre is located right by the route.

Nature campsite de Kemphaan

This is your chance to spend the night in a unique spot in the middle of Almere's nature. The nature campsite has several camping spots available. In the evenings, you can use the campfire place and sit cosily around the fire. You can also stay here in special accommodation. How about a gypsy wagon or woodland cottage? The campsite is an ideal base for a visit to Almere.
