Fancy a refreshing dip in a pool? For example, fun with family, friends or your family? Or do you just want to keep fit or get fit? Almere has several swimming pools, spread throughout the city. Wondering where you can find these pools? Find out below.

The Freebooter

Next to the train station Almere Buiten, you will find swimming pool De Vrijbuiter. This pool is ideal for an afternoon of recreational swimming with the family. You will find slides, whirlpools, a rapid and much more. There is also a paddling pool for the little ones. Children up to 13 years old can come for Disco swimming on several Fridays. Besides recreational swimming, it is possible to take swimming lessons or Aquarobics or swim laps.

The Mineral

Zwembad Het Mineraal is the healthiest pool in Almere and the surrounding area. That's because the water is 33 degrees and vitalised. This is good for the airways, skin, muscles and joints. It also contains no chlorine, so you won't get stinging eyes or smell chlorine. This pool is ideal for relaxing. Opt for free swimming, hot water therapy, aqua fitness or floating (recommended!). Are you pregnant? Then Het Mineraal also offers pregnancy swimming.

Almere Poort swimming pool

The pool in Almere Poort district is Almere's newest swimming pool. This striking building can be seen from the A6 motorway. Here you will find a large competition pool with eight lanes. Under four lanes is a moveable bottom, allowing the depth to be adjusted. Thanks to the salt electrolysis installation, the use of chlorine is minimal. Pleasant for people with sensitive skin or who often suffer from red eyes. Here you can swim freely, take swimming lessons, swim lanes or join the Aqua'Vitaal class.

Almere City swimming pool

This pool is very versatile. With a competition pool with diving board, an instruction pool and a target group pool, there is something for everyone here. From relaxed lane swimming to active participation in one of the challenging Aqua'Group lessons. You can also get your swimming diploma here! As in Almere Poort, there is a salt electrolysis installation here.
