The green city

Did you know that Almere is the greenest city in the Netherlands? You'll find forests and parks here, as well as beaches and water in abundance! When Almere taste seekers Sharon de Miranda and Nadia Zerouali went looking for healthy and tasty food from their own region for the series 'Smaakzoekers op wielen' (Taste seekers on wheels), they visited beautiful places. Would you like to get to know our green city? Then grab your bike and hit the road - we'll start quietly. Get a drink to-go at the local restaurants in town, visit Lumière Park and immerse yourself in the green movement in the city by listening to the Groen&Gezond podcast in the Listen Lookout. Follow the route for a nice walk, a visit to the schaapskooi, picking wild game and drinking coffee. Cycling the tour on Saturday? Then be sure to visit the Organic Farmers' Market at the Kemphaan.
