Sustainability is a top priority at Copper Branch !
-
Waste & circularity
Waste disposal options are also limited due to the shared facilities in the building. The organisation uses the building's central waste collection, which is shared with several tenants, including, for example, the library.
-
Sustainable sourcing & materials
The organisation strives to choose organic and ecologically certified products as much as possible when sourcing ingredients. This contributes to a more sustainable and responsible business.
-
Energy & climate
It is located in a rented building, which limits the possibilities for applying sustainable installations such as solar panels and a heat pump. However, energy-efficient LED lighting is used. In addition, energy consumption is actively monitored via an online portal, providing insight into consumption and, where possible, targeted measures can be taken to reduce it.
-
Mobility & accessibility
Located in the city centre, it uses rented premises, including the terrace. This limits the scope for making changes to the premises and outdoor space.
-
Nature & biodiversity
It offers a range of seasonal products and works entirely plant-based. This makes a conscious choice to offer a more sustainable and eco-friendly range.
-
Social sustainability & inclusion
It is located in the centre of Almere and is easily accessible by public transport. Employees travel to the location sustainably and do not use cars; they mainly come by bike, on foot or by public transport.
-
Food & drink
The organisation strives to create good and pleasant working conditions for all employees. Regular individual meetings take place, as well as team meetings, to promote engagement and provide space for feedback and development.
-
Water saving & water management
When it comes to saving water, steps still need to be taken. Currently, the organisation does not have water-saving taps or leak detection systems. However, it is looking at options for future measures to reduce water consumption.
