The Kotterbos woods are adjacent to the Oostvaardersplassen nature reserve. The woods feature poplars and wetlands with rugged reed marshes and willow copses; home to deer, foxes, hares and even the reclusive beaver. If you fish, enjoy casting your line in the nearby Vaart. For walkers this is a perfect starting point for trekking the Poplar Route (3.5 km) or the Oak Route (5 km).
The Kotterbos woods possess extensive outdoor sports infrastructure facilities. Whether you wish to take to the water in a canoe, kayak or raft or wish to put in some muscle-time away from the water on one of the many rope and obstacle courses, you will find it all here!
