When Emile is diagnosed with Alzheimer's at a young age, he decides to leave his safe but suffocating environment behind. He buys a camper van and places an appeal for a travelling companion. The mysterious Joanne responds. Together they embark on a road trip that confronts them with memories, desires and the question of how to live on when the future is so uncertain.
