Surprise trip to Almere

On Thursday morning, I had to be in Amsterdam at 10am for a surprise press trip. I had no idea yet what was planned that day. It started off right away: we were given a suit and boarded a fast rib. That's a boat that goes 100 km/h. I found it mega exciting because I was always afraid I would fly out of the boat, hahaha. And what a lot of water we received. I was happy with that suit! After about half an hour on the boat, we arrived in Almere. During the press trip, they were going to show us all the fun things Almere has to offer.

Of the press trip itself, I am not sharing many images yet because a separate blog post will come online about that. What I do want to share in advance: this delicious vegan high tea at The Black Cockatoo. Highly recommended! They even had hot chocolate with vegetable whipped cream.

And this cookbook that was there is going on my wishlist! Lize, who was also on the press trip, was wearing the cutest nail polish ever. I immediately took a picture of it and sent it to the nail salon where I always go. Funny, at the beginning of the year I had nothing at all to do with nails and now I can get excited about beautiful colours.

Because of the boat, I was completely blown away, so I was happy that we got to go to a salon as a surprise. Our hair and make-up were done and we were given champagne. They used Davines products at this salon(Lifestyle Salon & Spa) and now this brand is also on my wishlist... so nice all round.

This is still Thursday: truly a full day it was. We ended it with a visit to theatre company Vis À Vis. The performance Robot was really fan-tas-tic. Loved it so much. I will definitely go and see another performance of theirs.
