1. Climbing at Fun Forest

Not afraid of heights? Then Klimpark Fun Forest is the outing for you! Try out as many different courses as possible and test your climbing skills.

2. Take a dip in Almere's water

Almere consists of 47.6% water. Enough water to take a dip. Choose one of the many beaches and go for it!

3. Rent a sloop and sail through Almere

Discovering this young city by water is highly recommended. Sail across large lakes, through narrow canals in the middle of a residential area or right through parks. After a boat trip, Almere will have no more secrets for you! Rent your boat now!

4. Take a trip around Weerwater

The Rondje Weerwater is truly a household word in Almere. In recent years, a lot of hard work has gone into creating a beautiful path around het Weerwater. Thanks to this spacious path, you can walk, cycle, but also, for example, inline skate.

5. Waterskiing or wakeboarding at Cablepark VIEW Almere

Along the route and on the water you will find Cablepark VIEW Almere. A great location to go to if you want action! Because here they have a track where you can waterski or wakeboard! With the skyline in the background, this really is a special experience.

6. Play the cocktail menu

Almere is full of sunny terraces where you can enjoy the tastiest cocktails together. Fresh, sweet, sour, whatever you feel like! We challenge you to try all the cocktails on the menu at one terrace. Tip: You can also share them with your friends.

7. Attend an outdoor performance

8. Suppen on Almere water

9. Spot exotic animals and plants at Dierenpark Almere Jungle

Dierenpark Almere Jungle is always a good idea and should definitely not be missing from your summer bucket list! Discover all continents with all their unique plants and beautiful animals. From raccoons to alpacas to clawed monkeys and metre-long snakes. See the world's largest water lily or the carnivorous plant swamp!

10. Taste the craziest ice cream flavours

Good weather = ice time! Taste the most special flavours at one of Almere's ice cream parlours. How about liquorice, Red Bull or bokpots? We challenge you to try the craziest flavours!

11. Water sports weeks at Sail-Today

Fancy spending a few days doing nothing but fun things on the water? Then sign up for Sail-Today Sports Weeks. They organise great camps for kids who love the water. These weeks are mainly available in the summer and are incredibly popular, so don’t wait too long!

12. Try at least 5 terraces

Throughout the city you can find nice terraces where you can enjoy cold drinks all afternoon. And, of course, lunch, dinner or drinks. The Havenkom in Almere Haven is definitely a place you must have been this summer. And how about Loetje's terrace overlooking de Noorderplassen? Or HarborHouse overlooking the Jachthaven and the IJmeer? We are curious to see if you manage to try out 5 new terraces! In any case, we are happy to give you some tips.

13. Catch one of the events

There’s plenty going on in Almere! This summer, there are lots of events taking place that are well worth a visit. Check out the calendar and choose your favourite events!

14. A day of counting bridges

Did you know that Almere has more than 800 bridges? That's 2x as many as Venice! Start counting and you'll notice how many bridges you'll come across in our city!

16. Summer camp at Jumping Jack

From 6 to 10 July and from 10 to 14 August, Jumping Jack is hosting its Summer Camps again! Anyone aged 6 to 16 is welcome to come and have a blast for 5 days. Glow-in-the-dark mini golf, fun games in the Jumphal (such as counting to 10 in the jungle), jump trick lessons and much more. And if the weather’s warm, a Super Soaker water fight! Don’t wait too long to book!

17. A whole day of shopping

Almere Centrum is the place to be for a whole day of shopping. Score new summer outfits, buy presents or the new gadgets. Enjoy lunch, drinks or dinner at one of the many restaurants and cafés. Want to end the day? Then catch another movie at Kinepolis or a show at Kunstlinie.

18. Do your shopping at the Organic Farmer's Market

Every Saturday from 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Organic Farmer's Market is on Stadslandgoed de Kemphaan. All products at the market are daily fresh and homemade. You will find beef from its own cows, various cheeses, groceries, the real home-brewed Kemphaan beer, freshly baked bread, pastries and other delicious products.

19. Climb Almere Boven

In the Museumbos stands the mountain Almere Boven. Via the spiral path you wind your way up to the top of the 30-metre-high mountain. Such a high mountain is unique here; for a moment you forget that this is Flevoland. Once at the top, you have a panoramic view of the area and see sheep with their lambs grazing on the mountain.
