Walking route Four Seasons Path

Discover the Four Seasons Path in Almere's Stadsbossen. This enchanting path takes you on a journey through the beautiful nature of Almeerderhout, where each season offers its own surprises and beauties. In spring, you will see everything in bloom and hear courtship waterbirds. During summer, beavers show themselves in the evening, while kingfishers hunt in the pools of the Hoge Vaart during the day. Autumn enchants with mushrooms and autumn colours, while winter reveals fresh traces of beaver activity.

Tip: This path is accessible for mobility scooters and wheelchairs. Puddles can occur after rain, but at the end of the route you can get off the path and through the forest, or stay on the Kemphaan path to return to the starting point.

Enjoy a delicious break at restaurant Buitengewoon Lekker in Buitencentrum Almeerderhout, where a spacious terrace awaits with coffee, lunch or drinks, prepared with mostly organic local produce.

Access: You can reach the starting point by car via Waterlandseweg, exit Stadslandgoed de Kemphaan. For public transport, take bus stop De Kemphaan on the Waterlandseweg, just a 5-minute walk from the starting point.
