Discover nature in the spring break
From 25 February to 5 March, it's time for spring break. And during that holiday, you don't have to be bored! Stad & Natuur has organised various activities for the whole family to enjoy and learn about Almere's nature.
On Wednesday afternoon 1 March, children aged 8 to 12 can carpenter a car together with Henk from Studio Heinepein. Henk makes beautiful works of art and furniture from recycled wood and he is currently doing this from the Upcyclecentrum of the municipality of Almere. During this workshop, which he will give at Stadslandgoed de Kemphaan , he will teach the children how to make their own car from 'old' wood.
Thursday afternoon 2 March is the Forest Animal Day at Stad & Natuur on Stadslandgoed de Kemphaan. This day children can learn more about forest animals and owls in particular. There is a funny puppet show, you can collect owl pellets and make your own owl craft. For the real sleuths and explorers among us, you can also go on an excursion with Stad & Natuur's Buiten(w)eter this afternoon. In the Vroege Vogelbos , he will take you on a quest for (in)visible nature. When people think of nature, it is usually not mosses and small invertebrates. Yet these species are also an important part of our nature.
For the activities on 1 and 2 March, you can book your tickets in advance via www.stadennatuur.nl, so you can be sure of a place!
Walk through Almere's nature Of course you can enjoy the beautiful nature in Almere every day. But of course also during the spring break. Walking in nature is beautiful, but it brings with it an additional health benefit: nature contributes to your well-being and level of relaxation in addition to your health. So plenty of reasons to discover Almere's nature during the spring holidays too. We have listed the most beautiful routes for you, go to www.stadennatuur.nl/wandelen.
