In the realisation of this pure central building, the architect had an advisory role. His design was submitted to the members and to the head of the international faith community. After approval of the shell proposals, which were carried out by a contractor, experts from the faith community stepped forward for the finishing touches, on a voluntary basis. The fibreglass dome comes from Pakistan. It is pointed on the outside but is round inside. The wreath of windows in the drum illuminates the large prayer room, which has a meditative character. The text 'Hearts find peace in remembering God' illustrates the intention. The imam's residence occupies the strip at the back, where there is also a balcony. At the corners are minarets. In the centre of the façade, a niche protrudes from the volume, crowned by a slender, tall tower, indicating where Mecca lies. All facades have concrete lisens, into which a tile pattern is punched. The intervening areas are filled with windows and brick slabs. The strong vertical articulation of the facades speaks the language of growing and reaching up. At night, the mosque is enchantingly illuminated.
