Simplicity is the result of Committee De Fantasie's third competition, held in 2006. Simplicity involved designs for a very sober, detached house. The predicate 'temporary' was abandoned, although the aim was again to avoid restrictions that would arise from regulations. The Welstand committee would take into account the jury's choices and apply the Building Regulations generously. Nevertheless, struggles arose in realisation. The building site was changed. Building land had to be purchased by the winners and those who did not start on time had to pay a fine. Some winners had to find someone to take over the plan.
