City Walk Filmwijk

The first part of Filmwijk was developed for the Construction Exhibition (BouwRai), held in 1992 at the initiative of the National Housing Council. This part of the district is recognisable by the semicircle, like a film can. Architects were challenged to submit innovative and challenging designs that would be trendsetting for the future.

Ultimately, this ensured that a neighbourhood was built where the designs were bold and stimulating.
