Silverline
Silverline is a robust building in Almere with an aluminium cladding that shines in the light on sunny days, and is ablaze at sunset. It consists of 58 flats in 17 variants.
Since the middle floors of an apartment building sell the least well, the volume of the first five layers was made larger than that of the middle four. The seven floors of the block rising into the sky above them are tilted in relation to the lower section. These contain relatively the most dwellings. The lower building volume, located along het Weerwater, ends in a penthouse floor, which is higher than a normal floor height. The luxury flats at the top are also taller. The size of the windows varies considerably. The larger ones are mostly placed at the corners, giving the flat façade walls a vertical relief. Each window is located symmetrically to the central axis of the room behind it.
