Architecture
Golden mile
This is a complex of 54 upstairs and downstairs houses with tall windows on the four street sides. The anthracite-coloured brick contrasts pleasantly with the orange roof, whose ridge keeps shifting. The roof extends well over the terrace decking in front of the front doors, and rests on thin steel columns. The facades nod outwards and inwards and have large openings and entrances to the courtyard. The street sides are pleasantly expressive. The courtyard with fences, sheds and parking spaces is cluttered.
