De Fiets Race en Toerclub Almere

De Fiets Race en Toerclub Almere is a cycling club in the city, founded in 1992. Its statutory aim is: "practising and promoting cycling in all its aspects". For all our members, both touring cyclists and mountain bikers, youth competition cyclists, handbikers and seniors on city bikes, FRTC Almere offers a complete programme of club rides.

Through training sessions and clinics, novice cyclists, especially youthful talents, are guided in their further development, with some even reaching the pro peloton.

The seniors in the so-called Bicycle-and-Geniet group are also an important group. Every week in the season, a ride is organised where sociability and togetherness are combined with healthy exercise. In the off-season, the cycle rides are replaced by weekly meetings (klaverjassen) and cultural activities.
