Haddock Watersport

As well as the fun sailing school for sailing, canoeing or surfing courses, there is also an attractive and spacious restaurant and attractive marina. The sailing school rents out motorboats or sailing boats. Haddock Watersport also organises (water) sports activities for parties, companies and/or schools. Combined with its central location adjacent to the A6 motorway at Almere Haven this makes Haddock Watersport the water sports centre in Flevoland! Haddock also features a number of unique accommodation options.

Haddock Watersport rents out canoes, motorboats and boat trailers from their premises at the Weerwater marina, and sailing boats (Valk type) from the harbour in Almere Haven.

A sailing license or experience handling an open motorboat is not required; a Haddock staff member will help you get started, giving you handy tips and a water map to see you on your way.

One, two and three person canoes are available. Larger groups, school classes or companies are also welcome to hire canoes at Haddock, along with an instructor if required.

You can make some great trips from the Weerwater, for example to the Beatrix Park or the Leeghwaterplas or Noorderplassen nature reserves.
The Valk type boats can be hired at the harbour in Almere Haven, however, sailing experience is required to sail one of these.
Located on the Gooimeer, Almere Haven is a great starting point for some outstanding day trips, for example to Naarden, Muiden, Spakenburg or Huizen port.

We also welcome groups or company outings.

After a superb day on the water, the Eetcafé Haddock’s Terrace is an attractive place to round off your adventure with a delicious meal and a drink.
