This building was designed in response to a competition held by the TV programme 'Het Klokhuis' on the occasion of its 20th anniversary. Conceived by children and intended for children.

In 2016/2017, the Netherlands' first Tiny House BuildingEXPO took place here. In this way, Almere wants to contribute to an innovative, affordable and sustainable building stream that stands for a form of 'liberated living'. This BouwExpo started in early 2016 with a competition, in autumn 2017 it was festively concluded with the Great Tiny Housing event.
