In the heart of Almere shines a work of art that is part of The Sea Green Carpet and represents the city. Artist Kasper Jongejan has brought this masterpiece to life with his unique vision.
The artwork reflects Almere's past as a watery place transformed into a green city. The colour palette of green, blue and sea green symbolises this transformation, with green for nature and growth, blue for water and inspiration and sea green as a tribute to the sea.
This artwork can be admired in the ground floor of de Citadel, near Sportpaleis, Jumper and Basic-Fit Ladies.
