From 30 May to 14 June, Almeerderstrand will be the place for (water) sports, fun and relaxation. Under the banner of the Almeerderstrand Festival, you will find a varied programme on the water and on the beach.
Dutch Water Week takes place from 30 May to 7 June and Summer BeachLife from 5 to 14 June. During the Festival Weekend on 5 and 6 June, there will be extra activities, music, catering and entertainment for young and old.
Swimming prohibited - Almeerderstrand
At the moment, swimming is prohibited at Almeerderstrand. This means that swimming, paddling and water activities are not allowed for visitors.
Therefore, the water parts of Optimist on Tour, such as sailing, canoeing and children's dips, will unfortunately not take place.
The rest of the Almeerderstrand Festival programme will continue. You are welcome to attend the stage programme, the professional sailing regatta on the Markermeer, children's activities on the beach, City & Nature, Summer BeachLife and the assault course.

During Dutch Water Week, Almeerderstrand turns into a cosy place where everything revolves around water sports.
You can take part in clinics such as catamaran sailing, supping, children's sailing, windsurfing and wingsurfing. There are additional activities for children, including the Kidswatersportdag and Optimist on Tour. Also on the programme are the Sailing Grand Slam regatta, wingsurfing competition Rondje Pampus and Clean Up on Tour.

The new beach volleyball season starts where it belongs on the water. From 5 to 14 June 2026, Almeerderstrand will transform into the heart of the Summer BeachLife tour. Sun, sand, sports and fun at one of the most beautiful beach locations in the Netherlands. This is the kick-off you don't want to miss.

SWIMMING PROHIBITED
Due to a ban on swimming at Almeerderstrand , the water parts of Optimist on Tour, including sailing, canoeing and children's paddling, will unfortunately not take place. Swimming and paddling are also not permitted.

Line-Up Festival Weekend - 5 & 6 June
From young Almeeren talent to kids' entertainment, DJs and live bands: during the Almeerderstrand Festival, the beach comes alive.
With L!NN, Boboligi, Shandro, Kevin K Jackson, DJ Simi, K. Diamond, Roxi Trumpet, Public Eye, Nathalie Unplugged, Appetight, Mits Mitchel and Kidz DJ, there is a varied line-up full of recognisable music, dance, interaction and summer festival energy.

House rules
To ensure that the Almeerderstrand Festival on 5 and 6 June runs smoothly, the following house rules apply at the event site where the festivities take place. By entering the event grounds, you agree to the rules and information below.
- Visitors should behave respectfully. Nuisance or offensive behaviour such as intimidation, swearing, or harassing other visitors or staff will not be tolerated.
- Any form of aggression, discrimination or racist expression - verbal or physical - is strictly prohibited. In case of violation, immediate removal from the premises will follow and the police may be called in.
- Visitors must be able to identify themselves at all times with a valid ID.
- Respect the surroundings and local residents. Avoid noise, waste dumping or other forms of nuisance around the grounds. Always follow instructions from the organisation and/or security.
- Bicycles, mopeds and scooters are not allowed on the event site. These must be parked in the racks or areas provided.
- Visitors visibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs who cause a nuisance or pose a danger to themselves or others will be removed from the event area. In case of possession of large quantities of drugs and/or suspected/detected dealing, the visitor will be detained and handed over to the police.
- No alcoholic beverages will be served to persons under the age of 18 on the festival grounds.
- It is not allowed to buy alcoholic beverages for persons under the age of 18 and/or to pass alcoholic beverages on to them.
- Security monitors compliance with the rules on the consumption of alcohol. If persons do not comply with these rules, you may be removed from the grounds.
- In situations not covered by these conditions, the organisation will decide.
- Visitors are obliged to comply with regulations and/or changes made by the organisation and its staff.
- Entering and attending events is at the visitor's own risk.
- The organisation is not liable for any damage or injury caused to visitors and/or visitors' goods.
- It is forbidden to bring the following into the entire event area: drugs, fireworks, (fire) weapons and other dangerous objects. When in possession of legally prohibited items such as fireworks or weapons, the visitor will be handed over to the police.
- A first aid post is present at the event site. This is the place to go for medical assistance.
- In case of theft, assault, vandalism or other offences, the police will always be notified.
- During the event, photographs and/or video recordings may be made for promotional purposes. If you do not want to be recognised in a photo or video, please let the photographer know on the spot. This footage may be a photo or video where you are shown recognisably in a group or individually. The visual material may be used by the organisation to promote the event through both digital and physical/printed channels media in or around Almere. As a visitor to Almeerderstrand Festival 2026, you agree to any use of visual material, without any form of compensation. Naturally, the organisation agrees to treat all forms of images respectfully. The organisation rejects any form of liability that may arise from the use of said visual material.
