A comedy with a touch of mourning, which takes its title (but really only the title!) from the famous rom-com ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’.
An evening full of miscommunication, slapstick, inappropriate remarks, old and new conflicts, and hilariously awkward scenes. Speak no ill of the dead? De Theatertroep and Magne van den Berg have a different take on that.
Today we’re gathered together to remember. Old acquaintances. Mixed feelings. Someone who can’t stop crying. Another who laughs everything off. Inappropriate jokes at the wrong moments. Speeches that go on too long. Who loved the deceased the most? Who has the greatest right to grieve? People sometimes say that death brings people together. But grief can also drive people apart.
