RATATATATA

A top cast - Theo Maassen, Ilse Warringa, Plien van Bennekom, Bianca Krijgsman, Steyn de Leeuwe and Rop Verheijen - takes you in 'RATATATATA' to the roaring 1920s, a world full of glamour, ambition, passion and konkelarij. You meet a classical theatre company in the nerve-wracking weeks between the first reading and the premiere. The ensemble turns out to be a snake pit in which everyone craves attention and success. From the neurotic playwright and the jaded star actress to the talentless revue artist and her flammable bodyguard who, to top it all off, feels she has to interfere with the play's dramaturgy.

'RATATATATA' is humorous, sharp, surprising, cheeky and at the same time painfully recognisable. Because behind all the glitz is a simple question: how far will you go for your own success? And who ultimately pays the price? Do not expect a neat play or cabaret skit, but a performance that crackles with energy and zest for life. There will be dancing, braying, making love, laughing, shouting, drinking, shedding tears and, when it suits, liquidating someone.
