Grote Markt Almere Ice Rink: 50th anniversary

From 28 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, the Grote Markt in Almere will be transformed into a charming winter destination featuring a 30-by-15-metre ice rink. To celebrate Almere’s 50th anniversary, you can skate for free from 28 November to 6 December.

Put on your skates and enjoy some winter fun on the ice right in the heart of Almere Centrum . The free skating period is a gift to the city to mark Almere’s 50th anniversary. After that, you can continue skating for €5 per session, including skate hire.

Boutiq and Anno will be providing catering around the ice rink, and the other catering outlets on the Grote Markt will also remain open. Special events are also planned at various times, such as small-scale performances, an ice show or ice hockey demonstrations.
