After the success of 'Nieuwe Buren', the makers bring another thriller by bestselling author Saskia Noort to the Dutch theatres. Top actors Isa Hoes and Edwin Jonker star in 'De Verbouwing'.
Plastic surgeon Mathilde seems to lead the perfect life with her husband Rogier and their daughter. But slowly that façade starts to crumble. While Mathilde opens her brand new, state-of-the-art private clinic, her own house is in ruins due to a completely derailed renovation. Rogier is struggling with burnout and their daughter escapes the chaos by retreating to the tuinhuis. When Mathilde is forced to accept help from her dubious ex Johan, she ends up in a dangerous game with no way out, a web of deception, lies and betrayal. Isa Hoes is Mathilde, Edwin Jonker plays both the role of husband Rogier and that of the charismatic but untrustworthy Johan. The daughter is played by young talent Jenell Tedjai.
