MONSTERSOEP - A celebration for and with Almere!

In 2025, Stichting Ouder en Kind will celebrate something special: 10 years of Ouder en Kind Festival and 50 years of Almere. Two wonderful milestones that call for a celebration that is different, creative, connecting and a bit... monstrous. On 5 June, there will be a unique gathering on het Weerwater entitled: MONSTERSOEP.

An evening in which parents, children, neighbours and new and old Almeerders gather around a big table and eat, listen, discover and enjoy together.

Together with 100 residents, we will eat a big pan of monster soup, made with local ingredients ánd with a surprising edible artwork created especially for this evening. The foundation presents their new picture book about two friendly monsters who have seen Almere grow, from water and pioneers to a city full of stories and people. There will be reading, conversation, laughter and maybe even a little growling. And... there are secret elements that they reveal later.
