Ta Joela
Of course, most people know him for his razor-sharp sketches and content with a humorous angle, his own YouTube channel and his work for Supergaande. These are just some of the numerous activities of content creator Ta Joela, the stage name of Joël Muaka Ngimbi. But behind all that humour, there is also a serious side and a story that many do not yet know. In his new theatre performance, Ta Joela returns to his childhood, growing up in an asylum seekers' centre. This is the place where everything began and where he perhaps discovered how important humour is. You have no idea; he does.
