Cabaret
Selma Visscher
On the cabaret spectrum, she sits somewhere between Jan Beuving (the linguistic sensibility) and Nathalie Baartman (the elusive), according to the NRC. Her debut was praised, with four balls in both the NRC and on Theaterparadijs.nl. She was tipped as one of the new comedians to keep an eye on. And she was praised for her satiny voice and her clever, pointed jokes.
Now Selma Visscher is in the theatres with her new show Trekvogel. Expect a hefty bowl of fresh jokes, and grand songs about trifles. And expect a formidable voice and sharp observations.
