Almere's first keys: from Bivouac to Schoolyard
To mark the 50th anniversary, there is an exhibition that brings Almere’s first year to life with unique photographs, audio clips and a 1:1 replica of ‘Almere’s Smallest Museum’. The exhibition begins with police officer Wim Leeman, who on 1 December 1975 received the first key to one of the eight temporary wooden homes (Bivak), and ends on 30 November 1976, when Henk and Lia de Clerk were presented with the keys to their home on Schoolwerf.
