Blue Jacks

Kevin van den Berg and Manon Blaauw, alias Blauwe Vinkjes, dived into the deep end of the cabaret pond as fresh, uninhibited autodidacts, gradually learned to swim and stayed afloat. And how! They made it to the finals of Cameretten 2021 and won the Audience Award of the Amsterdam Student Cabaret Festival the same year. With their lightning-fast debut performance 'DISCLAIMER', the duo definitively conquered the theatres.

In their second performance, Blue Finches once again puts on a revue-like theatre style and takes a razor-sharp look at everyday 'Poeha'. Recognisable situations are enlarged, mirrored and twisted. From forgotten toys to a proliferation of podcasts and from amusement parks to talk shows; nothing is safe. Expect nothing less than blistering and hilarious sketches, colourful characters and catchy songs, all sharply intertwined with current affairs.

Theaterkrant about 'DISCLAIMER':

"Recognisable skits about our digital lives."

Scenes on 'DISCLAIMER':

"Watching this duo is especially appealing because of their fast pace, engaging presentation and guts."

Jury report Cameretten 2021:

"As the only act within the festival, this duo aims full on (political) engagement and that is exciting, especially in these turbulent times."
