The Flevolands Philharmonisch Orkest (FlePhO), conducted by Hans Welle, presents an extraordinarily cheerful programme. The orchestra kicks off with the overture from Richard Wagner's only comic opera, Die meistersinger von Nürnberg. Despite the light-hearted story, Wagner wrote a very impressive overture. After the opening, the FlePhO continues with Antonin Dvořák's optimistic eighth symphony. He wrote some dark symphonies before, but in this symphony, you can actually hear the composer's joie de vivre. In short, after this concert you are guaranteed to go home in a good mood. This concert is realised in cooperation with the AJSO Foundation and Kunstlinie.
