Planet AllyCon | Cosplay Contest (16+)

Once again this year, cosplay takes centre stage at Planet AllyCon. During the Cosplay Contest, you can compete for prizes in the following categories: performance, craftsmanship and overall. The judging panel consists of no fewer than three professional cosplayers: Sakuraflor, Ruben Samuël and Camitoast.

What do we expect from you?
Sign up via the registration form! That way, you can be sure you’ll be able to take part in the competition. Make sure you arrive on time on the day itself. At 12 noon sharp, all participants will gather at the library (we’ll announce the exact location at a later date) to meet the judging panel and the pre-judge. This is your first chance to make a good impression on them!

What will the judges be looking for?
This year, there are three prize categories that the judges will be assessing:

• Performance: blow us away with your stage presence! As a cosplayer, you’ll have a maximum of 60 seconds to show us what you’re made of.
• Craftsmanship: what craft techniques did you use to create your unique outfit? During the preliminary judging, the jury will scrutinise your outfit.
• Overall: can you impress us with both your performance and your craftsmanship? If so, you could be crowned Planet AllyCon’s best overall cosplayer.
When you register, you can specify which criteria you’d like to be judged on.

Who are the judges?
This year, we’ve asked three professional cosplayers from across the country to serve on the judging panel: Sakuraflor (@sakuraflorr), Ruben Samuël (@hyperrzzz) and Camitoast (@camitoast).
