ZO! Gospel Choir
ZO! Gospel Choir has built a rock-solid live reputation in recent years with beautiful harmonies, powerful lead vocals and an authentic sound. In 'Songs of Slavery and Freedom', one of the best choirs in the Netherlands returns to the essence of gospel with a musical tribute to the resilience, determination and spirit of survival of enslaved ancestors. The journey takes in a gripping history: the forced crossing from Africa to the plantations of the New World, the place where it all began and where spirituals eventually evolved into black gospel. An intriguing story of resilience and hope, a fusion of modern spirituals, reworked hymns and gospel, with a starring role for the human voice....
