Butterfly Trail
The Butterfly Trail is a short and varied walk through woodland and open countryside, allowing you to discover a small part of the rich natural environment of Nieuw Land National Park. The Butterfly Trail starts and ends at the ‘ Natuurbelevingcentrum De Oostvaarders ’ and is marked in dark blue.
The route itself is only 1 kilometre long, but including the journey to and from the Nature Experience Centre, you’ll walk about 3 kilometres.
In spring and summer, numerous butterflies can be seen, such as the peacock butterfly and the painted lady. The route is ideal for children. Dogs are not allowed in this woodland.
