Cycling is the ideal mode of transport for visiting Almere. The many free cycle paths ensure that you can cycle safely from one side of the city to the other. You can hire a bike from Tourist Information Almere or Ton Overdevest bike hire.

Discover the Almere Nature Trail
Our suggestion: cycle the Almere Nature Route. The route starts at Tourist Information Almere and takes you past a number of beautiful places, such as Stadslandgoed de Kemphaan, the Kotterbos and the Oostvaardersplassen.
Stop at the Kemphaan
Stadslandgoed de Kemphaan is a nice first stop on your bike ride through the nature of Almere. There is plenty to do here! Feeling hungry after the first few kilometres? That's great: at family restaurant and pancake restaurant de Kemphaan you can recharge your batteries with a delicious pancake.
Visit the Oostvaardersplassen
Visit Natuurbelevingcentrum de Oostvaarders and learn all about this unique nature reserve. The panorama room on the first floor has binoculars to get a good look at the animals in the area. At Paviljoen de Oostvaarders, on the ground floor, you can stop for a coffee.
