Windesheim Campus Esplanade Architectuur
The building will provide ample space for meeting, with study landscapes on the facade, green roof terraces overlooking het Weerwater and a lively plinth. A wooden structure is literally the healthy foundation, as wood reduces stress and increases learning performance. Moreover, wood promotes moisture regulation. All innovative knowledge is used to realise the study house of the future here. Smart solar orientation and passive building solutions, high insulation values and the installation of overhangs guarantee energy efficiency. The atrium is designed as a large solar chimney that drains the warmer air through natural draught. Combined with a thermal energy system connected to het Weerwater, it creates an integrally sustainable and healthy facility for meeting, study and innovation.
