Buildings would be limited to functions that contributed to its use value, such as sports, games and small catering establishments. Beatrixpark borders a begraafplaats to the north, Kruidenwijk to the east, Muziekwijk to the west and Den Uylpark to the south, which functions as an outlet for the residents of Stedenwijk. Between 1997 and 2003, Beatrixpark was redesigned due to overdue maintenance. The Parkwetering with the wooden bridges connecting de Noorderplassen with het Weerwater remained the supporting element in the very spacious and open image. The quality of the woodland landscaping went up.
