Breathe Life

The mural embraces the developments of green energy and technology that set Flevoland apart from other provinces. The title refers to the impact or significance this has for residents and businesses in times when energy prices are constantly rising.

These developments seem to make life more possible by using the warm breath of industry. The theme focuses on heating and green energy, hence the connection with warm and cold colours.

It shows pipes transporting the hot steam used for heating and wind turbines in the distance. The artistic decision not to make the whole artwork too dependent on depicting these objects allows the painting to be a work of art that can be interpreted. It allows the viewer to make these connections themselves, creating a rich experience and sometimes revealing new details over time.

This artwork is part of the Street Art walking route through Almere Centrum.
