Floating footpath
Halfway along the Oerbosroute in the Wilgenbos (Willow Forest) near Almere, you will discover the unique floating walkway of over 200 metres, made of willow and hollow tubes, which lights up as you walk over it. The path gives a sensational 360° view of the surrounding wetlands - ideal for spotting kingfishers and other birds. Fish, ducks and beavers swim effortlessly underneath.
