Pampushout
Several recreational facilities can be found in this forest that extends between Almere Stad and Almere Poort. The foothills of this forest extend to the Oostvaardersdijk. It is the habitat of buzzards, golden orioles, roe deer, hares and rabbits. Equestrian, hiking and cycling trails run through the park-like surroundings. In the seepage zone, the area between Pampushout and Lepelaarplassen, many birds can be spotted, such as marsh harrier, bearded reed warbler and three species of plover. By the way, the seepage zone is not accessible, but you can have a good look at the birds from the Oostvaardersdijk.
