Katterugwoningen
Katterugwoningen can be found in Almere. At its core, the villa has a truss height of 9.50 metres. Residents can choose to extend to the front and back. To either side, the truss height then slopes down. The high back reminds some of cat backs.
The segmented roof and wooden uprights in the masonry of the side façade evoke associations with insects. Residents could choose a wooden deck at the rear, which faces the water, or a larger living room. The entrance in the side façade, is virtually on the edge of the plot, leaving room for a large garden on the other side. The attractive colours of the wooden end walls complete the look.
