Waste is separated where possible, including coffee grounds, paper, glass, PD, shrink wrap, frying fat, batteries, electricity and SWILL. In cooperation with PreZero, waste consumption is analysed and reduced, using the SAS portal to gain insight into the various waste streams. Blycolin (laundry) has a strong sustainability policy and all towels have a sustainability label. In addition, products with labels are used as much as possible, including apple juice, orange juice, paper and cleaning products. Since the introduction of the SUP legislation, disposable (single use) materials are no longer used.

The hotel has Green Key Gold certification and uses green electricity from Vattenfall (wind energy) and district heating, without a gas connection. The property is fully equipped with LED lighting and a BMS system. Pure Benefit analyses electricity consumption on a monthly basis.
