Play Unified Sports Day
On Saturday 7 November from 12.00 to 16.00, the Super COOL! Foundation is organising a fantastic Play Unified Sports Day at the Topsportcentrum in Almere. A sports day for people with and without disabilities to play sport TOGETHER that day.
The guiding principle is that everyone can take part. This sports day contributes to an inclusive city where everyone is welcome – the image Almere wishes to project. Mayor Hein van der Loo will open the event. Everyone will then have the chance to try out various sports, such as bocce, judo, Miffy’s Activity Area, MATP, indoor football, indoor hockey, basketball and wheelchair basketball led by world champion Bo Kramer, athletics, digital games with VR headsets, a silent disco and a smoothie bike.
From 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm, there will be a tournament in bocce, wheelchair basketball, indoor hockey and volleyball, in which mixed teams from companies, supplemented by a number of participants with disabilities, will compete against each other. To round off the day, there will be a closing party for everyone with a DJ in the sports café.
