People generally find industrial heritage appealing straight away, whereas with new architecture it’s more difficult. Yet it is possible to learn to appreciate modern buildings too. Van der Pol takes the audience through the dos and don’ts of design and explains how, as an architect, you can ensure that people come to love buildings. She does this using numerous examples.
