Snerttocht: nature walk around the Lepelaarplassen , with soup
Put on your walking shoes and discover the ‘ Lepelaarplassen ’! During this nature walk, a guide from the ‘ Flevo-landschap ’ will take you through an area where over three hundred species of birds have been spotted.
From ‘ Camping Waterhout ’, you’ll walk to the Lepelaar observation hut. From here, you can look out over the Grote Plas, two bird islands, the ‘ wilgenbos ’ and the cormorant colony. Don’t forget your binoculars – you might spot a kingfisher, a white-tailed eagle or even a beaver swimming by.
After about two hours’ walk, you’ll return to Camping Waterhout. There, a bowl of pea soup – or a vegan alternative – will be waiting for you. A lovely way to round off a morning in the countryside!
