Casa del Libro: The Netherlands’ Cookbook
A conversation about cooking, books, flavour and culture. From historical cookbooks to contemporary culinary creativity; from traditional Dutch fare to influences from all over the world. An evening for anyone who loves both books and food. You can also visit the pop-up exhibition ‘The Cookbook of the Netherlands’.
On 11 November, Jonah Freud and Garrelt Verhoeven will discuss the history of the Netherlands through the lens of cookbooks. They will also speak with Mai Nguyen, Alain Caron and Yvette van Boven about their new books, their inspiration and the role of the cookbook in today’s world.
