WArd/waRD – Facing Transitions
Facing Transitions is a personal and visual performance that reveals the first signs of change. It is an exploration of what happens when you find yourself on the threshold of a new phase. The body changes, habits shift and familiar certainties waver.
This time, choreographer Ann Van den Broek takes her cue not from herself but from the individual performers: what does transition mean to them? With each dancer, Van den Broek explores a personal theme: a changing body, growing older, the menopause, a shift in work or identity. Together, these stories form a vibrant repository of transitions. By interweaving these perspectives and fragments, a multifaceted portrait of change emerges. The performers move between their own stories and those of others, revealing contrasts and unexpected connections.
