What does MIRAKEL mean to you?

A MIRAKEL can be a miracle: an event that defies logic and explanation. Something grand and mythical, such as the Miracle of Amsterdam (1345) or the Miracle of Amersfoort (1444). But it can just as easily be something small and personal: an encounter that changes your life, recovery from illness, an unexpected turn of events or a new beginning.

The word ‘MIRAKEL’ is steeped in history. It brings to mind medieval miracle and mystery plays in which the supernatural and the human came together in the streets. At the same time, the concept feels surprisingly relevant today. Not necessarily religious, but full of meaning. A MIRAKEL can be about the past and the future, about memory and renewal, about something coming into being where there was once nothing.
